OBU edges Sonoma State, 2-1

Behind the arms of Steve Smith, Zach Wilbanks and Alex Smith, the fourth-ranked Ouachita Baptist baseball team edged second-ranked Sonoma State, 2-1, Thursday night during the NCAA Division II College World Series at GSC Ballpark.

The Tigers (50-14) meet Sonoma State, 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 30 in an elimination game. The winner of that contest will face Mount Olive in the Championship Game 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31
