Arkansas native Elwin Charles “Preacher” Roe, a five-time All-Star who pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers in three World Series, died Sunday in West Plains, Mo. He was 92.
Roe was one of the top pitchers of his era and is enshrined in five halls of fame.
