In 7.2 innings of relief work in UALR’s 6-4 victory at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, Nick Grimmett allowed just one hit while striking out three batters en route to his first win as a UALR Trojan. The Beggs, Okla., native entered the game with a one out and a runner on second in the bottom of the second inning, trying to preserve a 6-4 Trojan lead. Grimmett was able to get the Trojans out of the jam; forcing the third batter he faced into a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.The junior struck out three and allowed just one hit over the next seven innings, doing his part to help the Trojans to their first win of the 2011 season.
