Bobby Howard named coach at North Ark

Thursday evening in their regularly scheduled board meeting, the North Arkansas College Board of Directors elected Bobby Howard to be their new baseball coach.

Howard comes to the Pioneers with an extensive resume that includes several years of coaching baseball and basketball. He has also served as an athletic director in the past. He comes to Northark after the contract of former baseball coach Phil Wilson was not renewed.

This will be Howard’s third stint at Northark and will also be his third time of coaching Pioneer baseball. Howard coached the Pioneers during the 1991-1992 season when he also served as the Lady Pioneers basketball coach. He finished with a 19-14 record while playing Division II. He served as the women’s basketball coach seven years from 1991-1998.
