Arkansas State senior outfielder Garrett Rucker has been named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week per an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon.
Rucker put together a solid week for A-State as the Red Wolves went 4-1 over the nomination period. The Arkadelphia, Ark., native hit .421 (8-for-19) during the week with an on-base percentage of .478 and slugging percentage of .579. He had 11 RBI in the team’s five games and had at least one run driven in during each of A-State’s five games, including multiple RBI in three of the contests.
