Ward was dominant in the Bears' 16-0 rout Sam Houston State on Friday. The junior from Little Rock, Ark. (Little Rock Christian), allowed on three hits and struck out six in a seven-inning complete game. He limited the Bearkats to a .136 batting average. Ward is 6-1 over his last eight starts, all in conference play, with one no decision. He ranks second in the league in victories at 8-3.
