GAC Players of the Week

GAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tyler Cameron, Southern Arkansas, SS, Sr., Parkers Chapel, Ark.
Cameron became the third Mulerider in the first four weeks to win the GAC Player of the Week after he registered a .579 on-base percentage and a 1.143 slugging percentage during SAU's four games – a blowout win at LSU-Shreveport and a series win against Northwestern Oklahoma State. His week included a double, three home runs and two stolen bases.

NOTABLE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES                                                                    

  • Ben Agredano, 2B, Sr., Arkansas-Monticello (Collected 10 hits and six RBI as the Boll Weevils won five of six games last week)
  • Matt Calhoun, 1B, Sr., Harding (Recorded first multi-homer game for a Harding player since Trent Kinnear in 2011)
  • Mike Kattula, 1B, Sr., Arkansas Tech (Hit .421 with seven RBI; week included a grand slam against Quincy) 
NOTABLE PITCHER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES                                                                  
  • Aaron Johnson, LHP, Jr., Arkansas Tech (Struck out nine over six innings to earn victory against No. 7/9 St. Cloud State)
  • Dylan Lynn, RHP, Sr., Southern Arkansas (Allowed just an unearned run in a complete game vs Northwestern Oklahoma State)
  • Zach McKnight, RHP, So., Arkansas-Monticello (Threw 5.0 shutout innings with six strikeouts to earn win vs Arkansas State)
