University of Central Arkansas third baseman Logan Preston was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week on Monday after leading the Bears to a record-setting sweep of Incarnate Word last weekend at Bear Stadium.
Preston, a senior from Texarkana, Texas, hit .700 for the three-game series (7 of 10) and had a slugging percentage of 1.300, with 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Preston had three doubles, a home run and four walks with just one strikeout on the weekend.
