"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S" NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

1B Aaron Murphree, Arkansas: Murphree produced one of the most amazing weeks in Arkansas history as he belted 8 home runs over six games. He was 11-for-24 at the plate with 15 RBIs and 13 runs scored while posting a 1.667 slugging percentage. He has now homered in a school-record six straight games and has 12 round trippers on the season which is halfway to Arkansas' single-season home run record of 24.


RHP Curt Dixon, Univ. of The Ozarks: Dixon struck out 14 batters against East Texas Baptist. He forced a groundout to open the game and then fanned 11 straight. During the first five innings, he allowed only one hit and one walk. His 14 strikeouts tied a conference record.
