DANIEL WARD OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a 6-0, 190-pound junior centerfielder from Tacoma, Wash., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 25 through Sunday, March 2.
Ward led the Warriors to a 3-1 record over the week - hitting .643 (9 of 14) with two home runs, one triple, one double and five singles. He also scored 10 runs and drove in seven more.
Ward's 18 total bases in the four games was good for a slugging percentage of 1.286. The junior also walked three times, was hit by a pitch and stole three bases.
