North Arkansas College takes the the No. 1 ranking in the final 2008 RINGORT NJCAA Division III Baseball Poll, thus ending Joliet Junior College's (Ill.) four week reign at No. 1. North Arkansas received 67 total poll points and five first place votes to take the top spot.
North Arkanas clinched the Region 2 Championship with a sweep of Crowley's Ridge Colleges this past weekend. The Pioneers are now 38-11-1 on the season and advance to the NJCAA Division III Distirct C (Regions 2 & 5) Tournament May 9-10 at the site of the Region 5 Champion.
