Southern Arkansas (43-8) pushed Valdosta State to a second game at to determine the Gulf South Conference championship, but the Muleriders were on the short end of a 20-10 decision as the Blazers captured the title. SAU is still the number one seed in the South, but Tampa will host. SAU plays Albany State to open.
