Wayne Hawkins Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Week

Arkansas-Monticello outfielder Wayne Hawkins (JR, 6-0, 205, Memphis, TN) is the Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 27^th.

Hawkins records the second honor of his career, first this season, leading UAM to a four-game series split versus Missouri S&T. The junior batted .667 and slugged for a 1.083 percentage in 12 at bats, while racking up eight total hits. He laced two doubles and one homerun, en route to seven RBI and six runs scored. The Memphis, TN native was perfect on the base paths, stealing four bases on four attempts. He went four-for-four in the 12-6 opening series win, collecting six RBI led by two-run homer.
