Pitcher of the Week: Taylor Shaddy, UA Fort Smith P, FR, Fayetteville, Ark. Shaddy tossed a complete-game, two-hit shutout against No. 7 St. Mary's University as UA Fort Smith beat the Rattlers 2-0. The freshman left-hander pitched seven innings of no-hit baseball and gave up just two singles in the eighth inning on his way to his second career complete game. He walked only one and struck out seven. The Rattlers batted only 0.067 against him. He retired eight consecutive batters to start the game and retired nine in a row at one point during the game. It was Shaddy's and UA Fort Smith's first shutout of the season. It was Shaddy's second win against St. Mary's this season, and UA Fort Smith has accounted for three of St. Mary's five losses against conference opponents this season.
