Harding head baseball coach Dr. Patrick McGaha was named Gulf South Conference West Division Coach of the Year on Friday.
McGaha, in his sixth season as Harding's head coach, led the Bisons to a 41-12 record, a GSC West Division championship, and a spot in the GSC Tournament championship game. Harding is expected to be selected to play in its first NCAA South Region Tournament on Sunday.
The GSC West championship was Harding's first regular season conference championship in baseball since 1984, when the Bisons won the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference.
