Sophomore right-hander Hayden Simpson (Magnolia) came within one batter of a perfect game in throwing his first career no-hitter to salvage a split for No. 3 Southern Arkansas in a 10-0 shutout of Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College Saturday at Mulerider Field. The Wildcats (4-5) nipped the Muleriders (13-4) 7-6 in the opener.
