Ryan Moody Named ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District

Harding University senior catcher Ryan Moody earned Second-Team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VI honors Thursday. Moody’s honor marks the second straight season that a Harding player received Academic All-District honors. Last season, Wisley Correa was named Second-Team.
Moody, a native of Granger, Ind., hit .291 with three home runs and 22 RBI as a senior. In his four-year career, he played in 190 games, hit .282 with nine home runs and 86 RBI, and threw out a school-record 81 would-be basestealers.
Academically, Moody is a senior management major with a 3.71 grade point average.
The ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams are voted on by the district’s sports information directors. District VI includes NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA schools in Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
